The theories and arguments which the historians are propounding and making in their research nowadays remind me of the fact that the same had been told to me by my teacher from whom I have learned how to read and understand history as a discipline whether it is about tracing human behaviour, mentalities and emotions in history or about how mercantile groups enforced themselves as a caste group to get an identity in the past (in Indian context). I remember all the lessons which you have taught me sir.

It became difficult for me to understand Marc Bloch and his writings (specifically his Historian's Craft) at a very first instance as the same text deals with 'Philosophy of History'. But I tried and managed to complete hundred and fifty pages in a very short period of time as I had to present the same in brief in about fifteen minutes.

Sir, sometimes I fail managing the things by myself, but I try and I promise I shall keep trying. Thank you for all the taught lessons and for providing me that space which officially might be unacademic for others but it will always remain the academic one for me. You have taught me the real meaning of "Upanishads" knowingly or unknowingly, I don't know. But yes, you have taught me and I have realised the same now (as I am able to correlate the conclusions taught by you with the lectures or talks I listen to). Thank you Sir!
